1. Who we are

Green Turn is a local family business based in The Woodlands, Texas. We sell plant-based, biodegradable home and personal care products through our refill-based system. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use greenturn.eco.

2. Information we collect

You provide directly:

  • Order information — name, email, phone, billing and shipping address (collected by Square at checkout).
  • Contact form — name, email, topic, and the message you write.
  • Schedule a Refill form — name, email, phone, pickup address, preferred date, and refill details.
  • Payment information — handled by Square. Green Turn never sees, stores, or has access to your card numbers.

Collected automatically:

  • Network and device info — IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited. Used for security (DDoS protection by Cloudflare) and basic operational logs.
  • Local storage — your cart is saved in your own browser's localStorage. It never leaves your device unless you click "Checkout."

3. How we use your information

  • Process your orders and refill requests, and arrange pickup or delivery.
  • Communicate with you about your order, refills, or questions you've sent.
  • Improve our products and service.
  • Comply with legal and tax obligations.
  • Protect against fraud, abuse, and security threats.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising or share it with advertisers.

4. Service providers we use

We rely on a small number of trusted third parties to operate. Each only receives the minimum data needed for its role:

  • Square — processes payments and stores order details (name, contact, shipping address, payment info). See Square's privacy policy.
  • Cloudflare — hosts the website and provides DNS, CDN, and security. May log IP addresses and request data for abuse prevention.
  • Resend — delivers transactional emails (contact form replies, refill confirmations, order notifications). Receives the message you submitted plus your email address.
  • Google Workspace — hosts our operations@greenturn.eco inbox. If you email us, your message is stored there.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Green Turn does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics fingerprinting. We use your browser's localStorage to remember the items in your cart between page loads — this stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.

Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies for security (e.g., bot protection). Square may set its own cookies on its hosted checkout pages — see their privacy policy for details.

You can clear localStorage and cookies in your browser settings at any time.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your information (we'll comply except where we must retain it for legal or tax reasons).
  • Opt out of non-transactional communications at any time (we don't send marketing without your consent).

To exercise any of these rights, email operations@greenturn.eco. We respond within 30 days.

7. Data retention

Order records are kept for as long as required by tax and accounting law (typically 7 years in Texas). Contact and refill request emails are kept until they're no longer relevant or you request their deletion. Cart localStorage stays on your device until you clear it.

8. Children's privacy

Our products are intended for adult buyers. The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

The website uses HTTPS encryption everywhere. Payment data flows directly from your browser to Square's PCI-compliant infrastructure — Green Turn never touches it. We follow industry-standard practices to protect the data we do hold, but no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the business evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be announced on the site.
